Helping school children in the time of need.

Our Story

We have always had a passion for children. My wife became the Secretary of an Elementary School in early 2016. A whole new world opened up to us, seeing children who were living in poverty and in need of basic essentials.

The summer of that year, my wife fell in love with a particular little girl. She had all the basic necessities for life but her guardian could not afford snacks and other things that the child needed while she was in school. Desiree and I began to get involved and provide snacks and water for her everyday. We then started to help other children in the school. It broke our hearts to see a child embarrassed; due to a lack of food and basic necessities. Children today are facing many trials, issues and setbacks. Desiree and I wanted to make a difference. We began to furnish whatever we could; like socks and shoes, coats, gloves and hats, toothbrushes and toothpaste, deodorant, soap, shampoo, clothes, leggings, and underwear. In addition, we have given money for book fairs, field trips and school pictures. We have provided Valentine’s Day cards and Christmas presents.

Our Mission

Mission Statement: “Developing Childlike Character with Strength, Love and Compassionate Thinking.” To be able to help Children in need to reach their full potential. To help them see their worth and value. 1 in 5 children in poverty will not graduate High School. Our goal is to help these children achieve and become who they were meant to be.

In the US, 39% of children go to school hungry. This statistic is staggering and we are up against a great hurdle to climb. There are breakfast and lunch programs for children and most of these children take part in this program; however, there are children not in the program due to parent illiteracy, language barriers, short term issues or fear of embarrassment. These children receive a reduced lunch and no breakfast. It is our goal to help children grow mentally, physically, emotionally and morally through these acts of love.

Our Vision

.”To touch the lives of children all over the world with Acts of Love” A vision cannot be accomplished alone, it takes people.

To give these children a chance to fulfill their true potential. To see them grow and mature in a healthy environment. Our hope is that these children will one day show Love to others as we show them Love. To be able to give the children a purpose, hope and a future.

Our Concern

”Our Attitude toward others is how much value you have for others.” Kim Nabors

16 million children are hungry (1 in 5) that’s 39-41% of children are in need

41% live in low income families

22% of the children represent the poverty in America

17% of the children today are obese

26% live in a Mother only household

1 in 5 children living in poverty will not Graduate

22 million children are on free and reduced lunches

443,000 are in foster care each day

35% of the children in a particular school have to be in the poverty level for that school to be considered as a Title 1 school.

Mental, Behavioral and Developmental Disorders: 1.More likely to be in poor families.

2. Neighborhoods that lack support (play grounds)

3. Lack of Amenities (Sidewalks and Libraries)

4. Low or no Insurance

With these issues in the schools today the teachers, administration and counselors are facing great challenges. From verbal and physical abuse and lack of respect for the staff. The lack of love, attention and time devoted to children by their parents is really sad. Children are faced with having to grow up so fast. To fend and take care of themselves at such an early age.

Neighbor’s Love will do our best to help meet these needs from the physical, mental, spiritual and emotional challenges.

A Child shall Lead them.

Today’s Children will soon be tomorrow’s leaders. We want to play a role in having a great influence on children’s lives for the greater good. They deserve a chance to be who they were created to be. To shine bright in the world around them.
